GLSDA's
Public Debut
On May 25th of 2004 a new advocacy organization, the Great
Lakes Self-Defense Association (GLSDA), made its public debut. GLSDA is a
regional organization dedicated to the self-defense needs of the public,
law enforcement officers, and military personnel. Fervently dedicated to
the preservation of innocent life through the ongoing protection of
self-defense as an inalienable right, GLSDA was founded by law enforcement
officers, CPTED (crime prevention through environmental design)
specialists, professional educators and trainers, martial artists, combat
competitors, law abiding gun owners, and political
activists.
Simply stated, GLSDA fights hard to protect the right of
self-defense in three important ways:
1.) By providing individuals with invaluable, lifesaving
information from experts in the fields of assault prevention, unarmed
force methods, and the use, safe handling and storage of personal
protection tools.
2.) By working with members to develop an effective voice in the
legislative process, by providing members with important legal information
and by serving as a watch dog
organization.
3.) By
providing you with important support services, like our instructor,
attorney and business alliance programs and an objective, reliable
consumer resource guide.
This unique
and comprehensive approach will provide members with a distinctively
valuable resource, promising to both save lives while protecting our hard
fought right to defend innocent life.
